Lipperhey enhances transparency in SEO market
A completely new version so customer friendly even computer illiterates can handle it.
Amsterdam, 3 juni 2010 - Lipperhey.com, the online service that judges websites on their quality and searchability, has undergone a complete transformation. Where in the first version all the findings and recommendations were written in a thick report, now everything is shown in a clear – Google analytics like - dashboard. Again we have taken a big step forward in making SEO more user-friendly. One important new feature underlines Lipperhey’s aim to increase transparency: resellers (for instance SEO-agencies) are now able to share their dashboard with their customers. This will help clients to get an idea of the progress of their website in the SEO-routing.
Marc Noët, fellow-founder of Lipperhey: "A couple of years ago, SEO was mainly the concern of big companies. Nowadays, smaller companies are also concerned about their position in search engines. In most cases, SEO proves to be cheaper than advertising. However, the problem is that SEO is a ‘black box’ for many companies. Lipperhey gives clients without any technological knowledge all the necessary tools to get to work or instruct their internet agencies. On the other hand, it gives agencies the opportunity to make the quality of the service supplied transparent by using an independent system of measurement."
In the last year, Lipperhey has welcomed quite a number of new customers. Besides a steady stream of direct customers (ranging from small web shops to listed companies), Lipperhey entered into collaborations with a growing number of resellers, such as PayPal, Topclick and Hosting.nl. In the coming quarter, similar agreements will be signed in Sweden, Finland, the UK, Belgium and Germany. And on September 1, Lipperhey will open an office in New York.
Marc Noët: "It appears this is a fast growing new market. The influx of new customers is a clear signal but also the fact that during the last year, we have gained a new competitor each quarter."
Lipperhey bases her analysis among others on the guidelines of search engines such as Google, Yahoo! and Mircosoft, the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), governments and leading professional publications.
Lipperhey offers white-label website analysis
In addition, customers will benefit from free benchmarking and site tracking
Amsterdam, october 15, 2009 - As of today, Lipperhey offers the functionality of its website analysis tool to third parties. Companies active in the field of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and software development can now use Lipperhey's technology for their own websites or implement it in their own software to perform a free quick scan or generate paid optimisation reports. For this purpose, the company has developed an API that allows third parties to offer the Lipperhey analysis to their own customers without any extra effort.
Free benchmarking and tracking service
Another announcement made by Lipperhey today was that, as of today, anyone with a Lipperhey account can benchmark their website with three competing websites (benchmarking) and generate an automatic monthly overview of any changes in their website's findability and optimisation (tracking), free of charge.
Before, the costs for this service included a once-only fee of $15 and a subsequent fee of $15 per month. These costs have been reimbursed to all customers who previously paid for this service.
The price for the extensive advisory report with points for improvement will remain $75. These points for improvement will help users to optimise their website. Ultimately, the implementation of the independent advice, to be carried out by a website designer or by the site owner himself, will ensure improved organic search results in search engines like Google.
Automatic analysis and progress report
Lipperhey's website analysis tool offers companies a fast and affordable form of website analysis that assesses a website in terms of quality, findability and popularity.
"An increasing number of websites are profiting from the Lipperhey technology and our analysis. Since we started in April, more than 2.2 million scans have been performed. However, we would like to reach even more people by simplifying its use. Naturally, we will continue to improve our product, analyses and reports. Our service is operational in an increasing number of countries", says Marc Noët of Lipperhey. "Next year, we will announce a number of well known national and international IT and Internet companies who are currently implementing the Lipperhey technology into their online services, products and processes."

Research from Lipperhey shows most websites are not optimized
Most websites have not been optimized
Amsterdam, may 4, 2009 - Research from Lipperhey, an online service that analyzes websites objectively for quality, searchability and popularity, shows that websites from car factories are hardly findable in search engines like Google. If you search for keywords like 'car', 'new car' or 'buy car' the websites from the big car manufacturers do not show up in organic Google search engine results.
Also keywords like 'station wagon', 'hatchback' or 'sedan' are not used by most big manufacturers for their search engine optimization. Spanish car manufacturer Seat takes in fifth position at organic Google search engine results for the keyword 'stationwagon'.
Based on specially developed software Lipperhey analyzes a website online and realtime for more than 180 items and assesses these on more than 35 subjects. For this research 49 websites from car manufacturers have been assessed. French car manufacturer Peugeot ended first, Lotus ended last.
Outdated technique
The results of the Lipperhey research show that a lot of websites from car manufacturers are poorly optimized for search engines. They use a lot of FLASH which in most cases is devastating for search engine optimization. FLASH still is hard to index by search engines. Big car manufacturers Ferrari, Lotus, Jaguar and Mini score poorly in research from Lipperhey. Lipperhey wants to make clear good search engine optimization does not have be a big effort and can be of great advantage.
Marc Noët of Lipperhey: "Car manufacturers spend a lot of money on high quality links to their website. This being said, it is strange these big companies have websites which are not optimized for keywords you would expect. Also technically these websites can be easily optimized. A thorough restructuring of their online face to the world would make much more sense and would be a lot less expensive."
